Cupcakes for Haiti

The book Take Your Best Shot is about a 10 year old kid named Austin Gutwein who decided to make a big difference for AIDS orphans.
In the book Austin watches a tape about an AIDS orphan in Africa named Maggie and realizes that he wanted to help people like Maggie. There was a group called world vision that would help kids in Africa at his church.
Since he liked playing basketball, even though he wasn't good at it, he ended up going to Africa with the world vision group to shoot baskets to help the kids in Africa. He raised $1 for each basket he shot. He called the organization Hoops for Hope. He decided 2057 free throws would be enough to help sponsor 8 children for a year.
He also did the same thing the next year with the help of a thousand other people. He raised $38,000 which would help over a hundred kids in Africa. The year after that he decided to build a school. That year over 1,500 people helped and more than $85,000 was raised. Overall more than $125,000 was raised to help the kids in Africa.
I want to help kids in Haiti because the 7.0 earthquake that happened to hit Haiti on January 12th killed over 100,000 people in Haiti. Also many kids are living by themselves just like Maggie.
Since I like baking I decided that I could make cupcakes and sell them to make money for the kids in Haiti. I could send most of the earnings to a charity that is helping kids in Haiti find new homes and get food after the earthquake. I could sell the cupcakes at special events for the community like concerts. I would probably charge $1 for each cupcake I sell.
