Establishing Basic Trust

During our meeting on Sunday night I was not surprised that we had about two hours of discussion on the subject of Trust.

We consider trust to be a foundational issue in human relationships and also in our relationship with God.

The basic principles for living a vibrant Christian life with personal transformation and sactification include a life of Love, Confession, Repentance and Forgiveness.

 Questions about Basic Trust?

 You may ask:

  • How can there be any basis for developing oneness, unity and harmony in any of our relationships if there is no trust?
  • How do I trust when I have suffered such injustice and there are such pain?
  • How do I learn to trust when the one we have trusted (or ones we have trusted) have wounded us so badly?

The truth be told, we have all had experiences where someone we trusted has betrayed us. Depending on the situation and circumstances that experience may have been very devastating. Honestly, some of us may not haverecovered from that incident or from multiple incidents from the same person or from more than one person over a period of time.

But there is hope!

We can recover and we can live to form deep and lasting relationships filled with trust for one another. (More to Come...)

  Basic Trust Homework Assignment

This is a note to remind you to complete the lesson on Basic Trust. We are asking that you read through the lesson, making particular note of what the Holy Spirit is saying to you about areas where you have "trust issues."

We also asked that you pay particular note to the section in the lesson where there is instruction on Healing for those with Basic Trust Issues.
